Principal's Message
Hello and welcome to the Fisher Middle School web site!
Fisher Middle School, named after Raymond J. Fisher, serves Los Gatos students in grades 6 through 8 and their parents. The school is part of the Los Gatos Union School District which comprises four elementary schools and Fisher. Our students are among the highest performing achievers in the state of California.
Our teachers are creative, innovative and dedicated. Parents in our community provide tremendous volunteer support. Their assistance permits the school to offer a vast range of extra-curricular activities and programs. You can browse these programs on this web site.

Medications at school If your child needs to take any medication at school, we must have:
- A written statement from the physician detailing the method, amount and time the specific medication needs to be taken.
- A signature from the parent authorizing the medication to be given.
This Education Code regulation includes prescribed as well as any over the counter medication such as Tylenol, Motrin, Advil for the treatment of muscle pain, sinus inflammation, headaches, sore throat, discomfort following dental procedures, orthodontia, etc.
The medication must also be in a container labeled with the student’s name, medication name and dose, not a baggie.
If you have any questions, contact Maureen O’Hara at 335-2074.
Attention All Parents
Can you help with mock interviews for our eighth grade students? This is exciting and fun! We are in need of many volunteers to come into the classroom and conduct brief interviews with our students the week of December 14th through December 18th. We need volunteers on Monday for 50 minutes and Tuesday through Thursday for 90 minutes. We will provide the questions for you. If you are able, or if you know of someone who is willing to interview, please email or call the eighth grade English teachers and let us know what date and time works best for you. Any assistance you can offer will be greatly appreciated!
Best wishes, Ms. Sharkey, Ms. Mahoney & Ms. Crawford
